Privacy Policy

This policy covers the personal website at illegalscreed.cn, the Algorithm Visualizer at algo.illegalscreed.cn, IllegalCreed Quiz at quiz.illegalscreed.cn, and the first-stage Type Pal game at pal.illegalscreed.cn.

Information processed

The four products use four separate Google Analytics 4 properties to understand aggregate page visits. IllegalCreed Quiz may also use a separate Baidu Analytics property for traffic from China. These analytics scripts are not loaded unless you choose Allow in the site's analytics notice. If allowed, the providers may process the sanitized page URL, browser and device characteristics, approximate location, referrer, and cookies or similar identifiers according to their policies.

These products send standard page-view events only. Page URLs sent to Analytics exclude arbitrary query parameters and fragments; only validated campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, and utm_content) may be retained. Searches, algorithm inputs, playback, quiz, sharing, and other interactions are not sent as custom Analytics events. Type Pal also does not send keyboard input, scenes, battles, game progress, saves, characters, performance data, or errors as Analytics events. IllegalCreed Quiz does not send questions, selected answers, account identifiers, or category preferences to Analytics. GA4 Enhanced Measurement is disabled for the Quiz property.

Type Pal stores game saves in your browser using IndexedDB and may store settings such as audio volume locally. This local game data is not included in Analytics page-view events.

IllegalCreed Quiz can be used as a guest or with an optional account. Account records may contain a username, password hash, and an optional nickname or email. Guest answers are not retained as answer history. For signed-in users, the service stores question IDs, selected answers, correctness, timestamps, and category preferences to provide history and learning-preference features. Browser storage may hold a login token, guest category selection, theme, prompts, and analytics choice.

While a Quiz tab is connected for announcements, the service temporarily keeps a per-tab client ID, IP address, sign-in state, and current pathname in server memory. Query parameters are not included, and the entry is removed when the connection closes. General mutation logs may also contain answer submission and result metadata, IP address, request path, success status, and timestamp for security and operational troubleshooting. These logs are separate from the signed-in answer-history feature.

The Algorithm Visualizer is prepared to use Google AdSense. If advertising is approved and enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to deliver, measure, and protect ads. The personal homepage does not load the AdSense advertising script. IllegalCreed Quiz does not load the AdSense script while its advertising setup and certified consent path are not active.

The web servers may temporarily process standard request logs, including IP address, user agent, requested path, response status, and timestamp, for security and operational troubleshooting. The personal site, Algorithm Visualizer, and first-stage Type Pal do not currently offer account registration or comments. IllegalCreed Quiz offers the optional account described above.

Advertising choices and consent

You can accept, decline, or later reopen Privacy settings on each product. Declining leaves the applicable analytics providers unloaded. On IllegalCreed Quiz and Type Pal, an unset choice accompanied by a DNT or GPC browser signal defaults to declined unless you explicitly choose otherwise. You can also review or change Google's advertising personalization settings at Google Ad Settings. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Before personalized advertising is enabled where consent is required, including the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the publisher will use a Google-certified consent management platform through AdSense Privacy & messaging.
